After spending over seven years on the business-facing side of the tech startup world, I realized that I’m someone who is innately curious not just about how things work, but why they work the way they do. Ultimately that curiosity led me to quit my job so that I could learn the fundamentals of software engineering in order to better understand the kinds of products I’m hoping to build and champion.
Now that I've completed the 480 hour Software Engineering Immersive cohort at General Assembly, I've learned every facet of building full stack applications, including server and database setup, front end frameworks, restful API's, and writing the algorithms required to make the apps function correctly. I'm a people-person who relishes client interaction, and I am thrilled about the opportunity to combine my business development acumen with my ever-growing list of technical proficiencies.
Location-based app that allows users to plan their next bar hop outing. Users are able to register a profile, search bars in different locations and view the results plotted on an interactive map. Full stack React app built with a React.js front-end and Python + Flask on the back-end, featuring login authentication and data from Google Maps, Google Places, and Dark Sky API's.
